Bias binding, straight cut tapes and other kind of bindings

In the early 1950s, the founder Gerhard Topp invented the seamless bias tape, patented it and thus revolutionised the manufacture of bias binding beyond Germany's boundaries. Consequences of the innovation: rationalised production possibilities, considerable costs savings and improved processing qualities for the customer.

Textile trimmings and textile solutions.

Today we produce different bias binding and straight binding depending on our customers’ requirements made out of woven fabric, warp knitted fabric, knitted / tricot fabric, non wovens). The minimum width of a tape is down to 5 mm. We are able to produce tapes with a cutting accuracy of +/- 0.5 mm. Fabrics ex 90 cm width can be treated in order to produce bias bindings. According to the required tape elasticity we produce ribbons in straight, semi-diagonal (angle 8 up to 12°) or diagonal (angle 45°) version.

We manufacture both poly/cotton and cotton bias binding as well as many other articles. We also manufacture nylon/polyester straight cut binding to match our pocketing range.

We offer a large selection of pocket tapes and safety tape which are made from polyamide and polyester and material mixtures with different weights, colours and finishing for strengthening and fixing bag and other seams. The tapes prevent damage to the seam from pointed items such as keys or scissors. The tape also supports the shape of the bag.

Cut with heat

Synthetic fibre drapery is cut with hot knives and a special temperature at a special speed so that the edges are sealing immediately and do not fray any longer. The width of the tape has to be at least 10 mm.

Folding

We produce all tapes both folded and non-folded. Our machinery allows different types of folding, such as folded in the middle, double folding, with split etc. We can offer our customers tapes of at least 4 mm finished width in the every desired folding type (fold different wings).
