With centimetre precision, the massive 95-ton crane has placed the new transformer station at its intended location. The expansion will allow Topp Textil to feed more solar power into the grid in the future, as the previous transformer station was already working at the limit of its capacity. The photovoltaic system is an important building block for our carbon neutrality. It enables us to generate about 30 % more energy per year than we consume. The current output is 450 kWp.
The new transformer station also optimises the energy infrastructure. Through changes in the power grid, even more solar power can be fed directly to the energy-intensive consumers and the self-sufficiency rate can be further improved.
