Cut Tape

Topp Textil GmbH specialises in cut tapes and textile solutions. Since 1945, the company has been developing and producing innovative and individual products for the technical and fashion sectors. The different possibilities and technologies for making up textile tapes and small textile parts within the group of companies are the basis of Topp's solution and innovation competence.

The cut tapes are used in automobiles, in electrical and mechanical engineering, in household, leisure and cleaning articles as well as in clothing, accessories and shoes.

The minimum width for a cut textile tape or edging tape is usually 5 mm. Depending on the quality and customer requirements, the desired widths are produced to order using different cutting technologies. A cut tape can be produced straight, diagonally or also semi-diagonally, according to the requirement for longitudinal elasticity. Depending on the application, the tapes can be cut cold or with hot cutting knives or ultrasound. Hot cutting of synthetic fibres in the textile surface prevents fraying of the fabric. Hot-cut tapes are usually offered from a width of 10 mm. The cutting accuracy for hot cutting is predominantly +/- 1 mm. Topp Textil produces textile tapes with a cutting accuracy of +/- 1 mm when cold-cutting.

In addition, there are the possibilities for contract processing. In such cases, Topp cuts the tapes in the desired width and design from the customer's flat goods. The minimum width for contract manufacturing is usually 7 mm. Here, too, both the hot cutting machines and the cold cutting machines can be used.
